Step 1: You Order

Simply choose the design and suite you like and follow the simple steps filling out all the information needed to complete the invitation details. Starting with Customizing, then Personalizing, and finally agreeing to the Terms & Conditions. To process your order, just click “Add to Cart”. PayPal will list your order details for you to review. At this time, you can continue shopping or check out. Once your email has been processed by PayPal, you will receive a confirmation email.

Step 2: We Mockup

Using the text, color and designs you chose, we will create your invite. PDF proofs will be emailed to you within 2 business days. In order to ensure the colors you are receiving on your invite are what you expect, we suggest ordering the sample kit related to your Collection of choice or at least obtain access to a Pantone Matching System swatch book. Since computer monitors reproduce colors differently than printing presses, we cannot guarantee color matching your wedding invitation to digital images seen on our website.

Step 3: You Proof

Once you’ve received your proof(s), please proofread and then proofread again. We can’t stress enough the necessity of having several sets of eyes proofread your pieces.

  • If the proof(s) look good, simply select “Approved” and submit.
  • If the proof(s) look good and only need minor changes, select the “Approved with Changes” and note the specific changes.
  • If the proof(s) need signficant changes and you would like to view new proofs once changes were applied, select the “Need New Proofs Please” option. You will receive new proofs within 2 business days with changes applied. (Note: a second round of changes will incur a charge of $75 per hour).

Once you are 100% satisfied with the proofs and they have been approved, we will begin printing! (Note: Richard’s Notebook is not responsible for any errors on the final pieces that were present on the approved proof.)

Step 4: We Print

After proofing is complete and approved, we will begin printing your invite. Turn-around time for most pieces is about 2 – 3 weeks (silk boxes take a minimum of 4 – 6 weeks after approval). Please keep in mind when ordering that you will most likely want to mail your invitations 6 – 8 weeks before your event. Therefore, please order accordingly.

Step 5: Optional

If any optional items were selected, for example calligraphy or handwork with assembling or stuffing, this is when that will occur and please add on an additional 5 days for this step to be completed.

Step 6: We Ship

Before sending them off to you, we will check every piece to make sure each one is absolutely perfect. We package with care and ship all orders via UPS directly to your shipping address. We will include a check list of your items to ensure the entire order was processed.
